We provide community based treatment for all medical conditions to a high standard in line with national and local guidance. Book to see a Doctor if you are unwell and need advice.

Chronic Disease

We put a lot of effort in to reviewing and treating long-term conditions such as Diabetes, Asthma, COPD - Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease , Coronary Heart Disease, Epilepsy, and High Blood Pressure. The Practice Nurse provides much of this care following national and local guidelines and are supported by the Doctors in the Practice.

Well Person Checks

We offer a screening well person examination with the Practice Nurse which includes blood pressure check, weight, urine testing and lifestyle advice.

Weight Management

We offer advice and support for patients wishing to lose weight.
The Practice Nurse runs this clinic.

Smoking Cessation

Advice to help you to stop smoking is available from the Practice Nurse

Minor Surgery

Minor Surgical procedures such as joint injections and cryotherapy sessions for removal of warts etc are carried out in the Practice.

Physiotherapy can be arranged through your Doctor to offer a range of physical methods of promoting healing including massage, manipulation and remedial exercise.


We offer a counselling/psychology service for patients who wish to talk about their problems or concerns in order to help resolve them.

New Patient Medicals

Newly registered patients are invited to attend for a New Patient Medical check with the Practice Nurse. You will be asked to complete a New Patient Questionnaire, this records details of your past medical history and lifestyle. On the day of the medical check you will need to bring a urine sample for testing.


The Practice provides contraceptive services. Book to see a Doctor if discussing contraception for the first time or if considering changing to a new method of contraception.
Otherwise arrange your check-ups with the Practice Nurse.

Cervical Smear Tests

Smear test appointments can be booked with the Practice Nurse.

Maternity Care

Maternity services are shared between the Doctors and our Community Midwife. We recommend that you consult with the surgery as early in your pregnancy as possible, so that arrangements can be put in place in good time.
If you are thinking about starting a family we can provide pre-conception advice on issues such as folic Acid.

Child Health Surveillance

Full child health surveillance including regular developmental checks and childhood immunisations are available at the practice. The Health Visitor working with the Practice offers support to families with young children.

Routine Immunisation

We provide routine immunisation services. A tetanus booster is advised if it is 10 or more years since your last immunisation and you have not had a total of
5 doses in your life.We also advise yearly influenza immunisation to everyone aged 65 or over and to others outside this age group who are in high risk health groups. Ask at Reception for advice.

Travel Health

We provide a comprehensive travel advice and immunisation service. If you plan to travel abroad and require travel advice print off the attached Travel Risk Assesment form complete it and send it to the Surgery.
Practice Nurse will then use the information you supply to check your immunisation needs and will contact you with appropriate advice and to make an appointment for immunisation as necessary.
You will need to pay for vaccines which are not provided by the National Health Service.
